13 Kyo Classic
In learning Myanma Mahagita, you need to begin with 13 Kyo classics as the basics. Kyo classics are composed with the aim to facilitate learning tones and combinations.
In arts and performing arts schools in the Union of Myanmar, the 13 Kyo songs are prescribed as the first year’s syllabus for the harp, the drum-circle, the xylophone and the piano, to be learned primarily in the set order.
In my blog, the basic 13 Kyo classics are displayed in international staff notes both for the music and the lyrics.
Inserting the words, “si: ne. wa: si: ne. wa:” in the introductory music in the songs Htantra, Thidar and Tharyar is meant for the beginners learning Myanmar Mahagita to understand the rhythm of Myanmar Music.
